This Friday sees the release of Tere Ishk Mein, featuring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon. Early advance booking trends look promising, and trade chatter suggests the film could open in double digits at the box office. The romantic-action drama arrives in cinemas on November 28.
CBFC gives the green light with minimal changes
The Central Board of Film Certification cleared Tere Ishk Mein with only minor modifications. The film was passed with a U/A 16+ certificate on November 24 after one dialogue was softened. An ‘obscene’ word around the 27-minute mark was replaced with a milder expression. The board also requested the insertion of the anti-smoking static message in Hindi and that a liquor brand label be blurred.
The final certified runtime is 169.17 minutes — that’s 2 hours, 49 minutes and 17 seconds.
Trailer launch: laughs, singing and Dhanush’s candid moments
The trailer event on November 14 brought together the film’s team: Dhanush, Kriti Sanon, director Aanand L Rai, producer Bhushan Kumar, co-producer Shiv Chanana, writer-producer Himanshu Sharma and co-writer Neeraj Yadav. Dhanush charmed the crowd with humorous answers and even sang on stage, creating a buzz among fans and media.
When asked what connected him to his character Shankar, Dhanush playfully said, “Nothing. Really. I am nothing like Shankar!” And on what love means to him, he quipped, “I think love is just another overrated emotion!”
