John Abraham publicly distances himself from film 100%
Bollywood star John Abraham has issued a clear public statement denying any involvement with the upcoming Hindi film titled 100% (also referenced as 100 Percent). The clarification follows a series of legal notices that had earlier named him among the film’s cast.
Earlier notices named John as part of the cast
On November 7, 2025, a public notice published in Komal Nahta’s Film Information confirmed that Jai Ho Media LLP claimed exclusive, perpetual, worldwide rights to the film. Complete Cinema magazine first carried a similar notice in October (dated October 11 and 18) from ANM Global Inc, Advocates & Solicitors, which listed the “current star cast” as John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh and others, with Sajid Khan as director and Aakash Kaushik, Madhur Sharma and Rohan Shankar as writers.
John’s formal clarification
On November 22, 2025, a new notice in Atul Mohan’s Complete Cinema, issued by law firm Naik Naik & Co, stated that John Abraham is not associated in any capacity with the film titled 100 Percent. The note says his name was “wrongly mentioned and misrepresented” and asks the public and film trade to stop using his name in connection with the project.
Legal warning and next steps
The notice warns that any continued use of John’s name or suggestion of his involvement will be treated as wilful and deliberate misuse, and could invite legal action. John has reserved his full rights and remedies under law and equity against parties who imply his association after this clarification.
What this means for the film and trade
- The October notices primarily dealt with exploitation rights and invited claims within 15 days.
- John’s November notice focuses solely on correcting the public record about his alleged participation.
- Producers, distributors, exhibitors and media are effectively asked to remove any implication that John Abraham is part of 100%.
In short, despite earlier legal paperwork listing him, John Abraham has made it unequivocally clear that he is not part of the film and does not want his reputation used to promote it.
