Khan family to run Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 as the Home Run Squad
This January, the Khans will hit Mumbai’s roads together — not as a film set, but as a family on a mission. The Home Run Squad will lace up for the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026, each member at their own pace but united by one purpose: supporting Paani Foundation and Agatsu Foundation.
Who’s running what
- Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Azad Rao Khan and Ira Khan will take part in the Dream Run (5.9 km).
- Junaid Khan will run the Open 10K.
- Nupur Shikhare will tackle the full 42K marathon.
Why they’re running
The family’s run raises awareness and funds for two causes that focus on long-term, community-led change. Their message is simple: donate, share and stay informed. Every kilometre, every conversation, and every rupee helps foster water security and mental well‑being across communities.
About Paani Foundation
Founded by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, Paani Foundation began in 2016 with the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup — a 45-day challenge that taught villages water conservation. Since then it has grown into a movement that trains communities in science-based water management and teamwork. Today the foundation’s Farmer Cup extends that mindset to sustainable agriculture, with the goal of improving livelihoods across Maharashtra.
About Agatsu Foundation
Ira Khan set up Agatsu to make mental health accessible and practical. From a free community centre and low-cost therapy clinic in Bandra to simple, everyday programs that explain psychology in human terms, Agatsu aims to build emotional hygiene, stronger relationships and community resilience.
A shared philosophy
Both foundations believe lasting change happens when people own the solutions. One helps farmers read the land; the other helps people understand their minds. In 2026, Paani wants to scale across Maharashtra to reach more farmers, while Agatsu plans to deepen its community work so mental health support becomes everyday and useful.
How you can help
The Khans’ appeal is direct: support these causes by donating, spreading the word and staying involved. Small actions — sharing a post, signing up for information, or contributing to the fundraiser — add up. After all, every drop of knowledge and every act of care brings us closer to water security, wellbeing and one another.
