The Bards Of Bollywood continues to make waves more than two months after its release, thanks to its sharp humour, affectionate Bollywood nods and Aryan Khan’s confident debut. In a recent chat with GQ India, Aryan shared a playful behind-the-scenes secret that fans are already loving.
Aryan Khan admits to a cheeky mimicry
In his GQ India interview, Aryan revealed a fun bit of trivia: he can mimic voices — and one familiar line in the show is actually his. “Fun fact, in the show, when Salman Khan says, ‘What party? Bullshit party,’ that’s actually me!” he confessed, adding a lighthearted layer to the series’ many Easter eggs.
Star-studded cameos and memorable performances
The Bards Of Bollywood is packed with surprise appearances. Alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s special turn, the series features cameos from big names like Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Disha Patani, Shanaya Kapoor, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Rajkummar Rao, Sara Ali Khan, Aamir Khan, S S Rajamouli, Badshah and Ranbir Kapoor. Emraan Hashmi’s extended special appearance also became a talking point.
Key performers who anchored the show include Lakshya, Bobby Deol, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Raghav Juyal, Mona Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Manish Chaudhari, Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor, each bringing a distinct flavour to the ensemble cast.
On working with his father, Shah Rukh Khan
Aryan praised SRK’s professionalism and easygoing nature on set: “He’s the easiest person to work with. He knows exactly what to do, how to do it. And when he’s on set, everyone else behaves exceptionally well.” The father-son dynamic, it seems, helped keep the atmosphere relaxed and focused.
Awards and celebrations
The series picked up five honours at the Bollywood Hungama OTT Fest and India Entertainment Awards. Wins included:
- Aryan Khan — Best Director (Original Series)
- Raghav Juyal — Breakthrough Performer of the Year
- Anya Singh — Best Supporting Actor – Female (Original Series)
- Rajat Bedi — Best Supporting Actor – Male (Original Series)
To celebrate, Aryan reshared Red Chillies Entertainment’s post on his Instagram Stories, posting the award title card and thanking the organisers: “Thank you! @realbollywoodhungama”. The gesture and the win only added to the buzz around the show.
Why it still matters
With clever writing, witty cameos and a mix of established stars and fresh faces, The Bards Of Bollywood has become a conversation starter — and Aryan Khan’s admissions and awards are keeping fans invested in what he does next.
