Dhurandhar has turned into a clear winner at the box office — and its success is now reflected in a massive OTT deal. The Ranveer Singh starrer enjoyed a strong Monday hold and collected more than Rs. 20 crore on day four, signaling wide audience acceptance and promising long legs for the film.
Huge OTT payday: Netflix snaps up both parts for Rs. 130 crore
A source told Bollywood Hungama that Netflix has purchased the digital rights for both parts of Dhurandhar for a combined Rs. 130 crore — roughly Rs. 65 crore per part. In today’s market, where OTT prices have softened, this is a noteworthy sum and represents a major boost for Ranveer Singh’s digital earnings.
This combined deal also makes Dhurandhar Ranveer’s biggest OTT payday so far if both parts are counted together. For context, his 2021 sports drama ’83 fetched around Rs. 30 crore on Netflix, while Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani earned about Rs. 80 crore from Amazon Prime Video.
Box office performance: fast start and strong overseas numbers
- Dhurandhar collected nearly Rs. 130 crore in its first four days in India.
- Over the weekend, it earned an additional $3.83 million (about Rs. 34.48 crore) from overseas territories.
- Day four alone crossed the Rs. 20 crore mark — a sign of sustained audience interest beyond the opening weekend.
What this means for Ranveer and Part 2
The combined theatrical haul and the hefty OTT sale are “sone pe suhaga” for the film’s producers and a timely boost for Ranveer’s star power. Strong box office trends for Part 1 set up high expectations for Part 2 — which now looks likely to open with significant momentum at the ticket window.
With steady collections and a lucrative streaming deal in place, Dhurandhar has positioned itself as one of this year’s big commercial wins for Bollywood.
