Dharma Productions has taken full control of its talent arm, buying out Cornerstone’s stake and relaunching the business as Dharma Collab Artists Agency (DCAA). The move signals a clear push by the studio to grow beyond filmmaking into a broader cultural and talent ecosystem.
What DCAA will do
DCAA will serve as Dharma’s exclusive platform for artist representation across film, music, sports, digital media, live events and cultural collaborations. The agency aims to help talent build careers that move fluidly across formats and platforms rather than stay confined to one medium.
Leadership and strategy
The agency will continue under the leadership of Uday Singh Gauri as CEO and Rajeev Masand as COO. Gauri, who has more than two decades of experience in talent management, music and live entertainment, will focus on expanding the agency’s reach and building new verticals.
“With DCAA, we’re building a platform that reflects the way artists work, express, and grow today,” Gauri said, adding that modern representation requires “cultural understanding, business instinct, and the ability to move with — and ahead of — the industry.”
Why Dharma is expanding
Apoorva Mehta, CEO of Dharma Productions, explained the reasoning: “Talent has always shaped Dharma’s identity… With DCAA, we are creating a structured platform that supports artists across disciplines.” The relaunch is framed as a long-term step to deepen Dharma’s role in the creative economy.

DCAA’s current lineup spans film stars, musicians and digital creators, including:

Legacy meets a new era
Founded in 1976 by the late Yash Johar and now jointly owned by Karan Johar and Adar Poonawalla, Dharma Productions is known for launching fresh talent and making hit films. With DCAA — after an amicable split with Cornerstone — the studio is extending that legacy into talent management, positioning itself as a long-term partner shaping careers across entertainment and culture.
